Iconic American Footwear Arrives at Cloth.

Marquis M. Converse founded the Converse Rubber Shoe Company (also known as the Boston Rubber Shoe Company) in Malden, Massachusetts in 1908. The company's main turning point came in 1917 when the Converse All-Star basketball shoe was introduced.

Then in 1921, a basketball player named Charles H. 'Chuck' Taylor walked into Converse complaining of sore feet. Converse gave him a job: He worked as a salesman and ambassador, promoting the shoes around the United States.

The rest they say is history...

So glad to hear you and those you love are safe. Take care as you rebuild and recauerpte. All the best from my family to yours during this trying time. During our floods in Brisbane last year our premier at the time made a wonderful speech, part of it that stuck with me while I watched the clean up of a city I loved was this weather may have broken our hearts but it will not break our will we are the ones they breed tough, knock us down and we will get right back up again.’Sending New York thoughts and prayers xx
